1/2/24 Orono Park Commission Work Session: Developments for Private Interest/Non Residents/Niche Sports

Some sad and low moments during the latest Orono Park Commission meeting held Monday, January 2, 2024:

1) Making fun of a resident's hard of hearing?

2) Private development behind the scenes (again).

3) Ignoring Holbrook residents re: Noise.

4) Misspeaking and misrepresenting legal issues.

5) Not taking responsibility for the lack of communication with residents about the trees at the Golf Course while still continuing to cut down trees.

And we could go on and on but best that you see for yourself where Orono is headed with Niche Activities, Private development on Public Land, Lack of empathy for our neighbors, etc.

As many of these decisions will be pushed through next month - in February - it is imperative that Citizens attend both Park Commission and City Council meetings. Hope to see you there!
