An Invitation to our Firefighters and surrounding Communities

Fire Fighters! Are you willing to risk going to a 40-year-old+ model that is proven to be antiquated and unsustainable? (National statistics show Fire Districts are far more cost effective and possibly safer).

Fire Fighters! Are you willing to risk alienating sister cities and collaborative partners by striking off your own? (this is just one of the many issues facing our communities involving seemingly toxic Orono).

Fire Fighters! Are you willing to risk dividing and leaving your friendships and teamwork you have now? (not everyone will be willing to work for apparently untrustworthy Orono)

Are you willing to bet a new department with financial and operational risks can be successful? (without the support of the citizens, will this effort fail?)

Please attend next Thursday’s Follow Up Forum for Firefighters and all residents. It’s time for Firefighters to speak with the public and work with the citizens of Orono and all sister cities to come together for our future.
