Long Lake Fire Department to provide water response this summer amid dispute with Orono

LAKE MINNETONKA RESIDENTS IN ORONO!

Did you know that if you have an emergency in the new Navarre area covered by Orono Fire on 7/1/24 that someone else will have to come to your rescue if you are located off shore?

Orono didn't buy a rescue boat - so that means some other fire department or county rescue will need to take the call.

Did Mayor Walsh make that clear in his communication? No he did not - no water rescues for Orono Fire Department for what Chief #JamesVanEyll says "the foreseeable future."

So Orono residents - you are spending tens of millions of dollars for diminished fire service that may be unsafe and has no fire house. #fiscalirresponsibility
