All this time and money to develop an astronomically expensive plan on the backs of Orono taxpayers. Let's stop the madness and get back to reality. We don't need a duplicate fire department. We need a simple re-evaluation of the percentage that Orono is paying and keep our extraordinary Long Lake Fire Department intact with a new contract. Simple. Cost Effective. Rational. And meets all the fiscal and collaborative goals for our best future. #simplefix is an adjustment not an overhaul.

Ask Orono City Council to vote no for a Duplicate Fire Department on June 12th, 2023 at the next City Council meeting. Please attend to make your voices heard.
