Where is Orono's Fiscally Conservative Leadership?
It’s not Orono Mayor #SpendyDenny Walsh who wants another millions more of your tax dollars for a duplicate Fire Department we don’t want or need.
This after placing Orono in higher debt than ever in history - $19 million plus interest - #MayorDennisWalsh raised city taxes 20.77%. last year.
It’s not Orono City Council member #MisappropriationMatt Johnson who is taking public land to create millions for his own wealth portfolio against citizen opposition.
Now he wants to dredge a substantial wetland area to create a third million plus dollar lakeshore lot thereby degrading the water quality in the area.
It’s not #CapitolStepsCrosby who used a photo of himself in the Orono chambers in front of the seal to fundraise over $10k for a jailed Proud Boy leader.
To date, Mr. Crosby refuses to explain his activities at the January 6th Insurrection nor his fundraising apparently as an Orono Council member.
These three city council members appear to be fiscally irresponsible and untethered from the citizens they supposedly represent. Stop the runaway spending. Stop handing yourselves public assets. Stop using your positions to help jailed extremists. Let’s get back to the fiscally conservative governance that we moved to Orono for in the first place.
